Liberty Mutual leases 14,600 SF at Quail Springs

Liberty Mutual Insurance has leased a new 14,600 SF space at Quail Springs Corporate Plaza to house a new legal counsel unit to deal with civil litigation and workers’ compensation matters.  The Boston-based company now occupies over 25,000 SF at the building for three diverse business units.  Liberty Mutual is the 3rd largest property and casualty insurer in the United States.

Craig Tucker negotiated the lease on behalf of the landlord, Quail Springs Office, LLC.

 

Downtown Land Sold for $1,978,000

Prime land directly next to the Oklahoma City Downtown Park sold to Hilltop Plaza, LLC and paid $1,978,000 to Downtown Property, LLC for the property located at 722 S. Walker, Oklahoma City.  Phillip Mazaheri, Paul Ravencraft, and George Williams handled the transaction.   

 

British Petroleum Moves to Automobile Alley

Midtown Renaissance Group is pleased to announce BP American Production Company will be joining the ever-growing stable of residents, retail and office users in the Midtown/Automobile Alley District.  BP American will occupy a portion of the first and all of the second floor of the Pontiac Building, located at 1100 N Robinson.  The new project will contain 14,252 square feet and should be ready for occupancy late 2nd quarter of 2015.  Derek James, with Price Edwards & Company, handled the Lease transaction for the Landlord.     

BancFirst Acquires Land Near I-44 and I-35 Junction

Bob Puckett with the Investment Division of Price Edwards & Co. represented BancFirst in the acquisition of 9.45 acres of land on the north service road of I-44 at Miramar Boulevard. Miramar is just west of the junction of I-44 and I-35 in north Oklahoma City.

EOG Resources Expands and Extends

Houston-based EOG Resources has expanded its premises at the IBC Bank Center to approximately 54,000 square feet.  EOG was formed in 1999 when it adopted a new name and declared its independence from Enron Corp.   Since that time, EOG has grown to become the largest producer of oil in the lower 48 states, producing 19% more than its closest competitor in 2014. Also in 2014, EOG was named to the 2014 FORTUNE “100 Best Companies to Work For” list for the eighth consecutive year.  The local office serves as the seat of Mid-Continent operations primarily related to the company’s exploration and production of the Anadarko Basin in western Oklahoma and the Texas panhandle.

Tepco Leases 18,000 SF East of Downtown

Tepco leased an 18,525 sq ft warehouse facility located at 507 E. California Ave, Located east of downtown Oklahoma City. Tepco installs glass in buildings. Mark Patton of Price Edwards & Company represented the owner.

 

Half of Half Name Brand Clothing Renews 15,000 SF Lease

Half of Half Name Brand Clothing has renewed their lease for 15,000 square feet in Casady Square.  Based in Tulsa, Half of Half has two Oklahoma City locations and operates a total of 19 stores throughout Arkansas, Texas, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, and Tennessee.  They buy customer returns from Department and Mall stores and then offer to the public at tremendous savings.  Merchandise offerings include family apparel and accessories, luggage, housewares, small appliances, bedding, towels, linens, and luggage.  Susan Brinkley handled the transaction.
