Price Edwards & Company represented Continental Resources in its acquisition of the 307,000 square foot, 19 story office tower, located at 20 North Broadway in downtown Oklahoma City.
Purchase price for the building and personal property was $22,500,000.
The building is currently occupied by Devon Energy and the law firm of Crowe & Dunlevy. Devon will lease 15 floors until its new corporate headquarters facility is completed in mid-2012.
Continental Resources will be relocating its corporate headquarters from Enid, Oklahoma. Continental was founded by Harold Hamm in 1967 and serves as the firm’s Chairman and CEO. It has experienced rapid growth in the last few years and is on a current growth plan which required the move to Oklahoma City in order to be able to recruit adequate staff. The firm has interests in over 2,000 wells and has a market capitalization in excess of $12 billion.
